Ric Ocasek, frontman of The Cars, dies at the age of 75 years

Ric Ocasek , lead singer of the 1980s US band The Cars , died at the age of 75 years.

He was pronounced reports dead home in Manhattan after the family called, he was said to respond, the New York Police Department. The Cause of death remains unconfirmed.

The Cars helped kick-start the New Wave movement.
