About Ape Hangers
Biography. Peter Sjostedt and Bob Kiah had previously performed in a Los Angeles band called Head. Joining with Boston native Dennis McCarthy, they formed the Ape Hangers. They recorded a demo tape for Sony and, when that label passed, were signed by A&M to do a full album.
