Antonio Donato Nobre Life story
Antonio Donato Nobre is a scientist and an activist for a cause he embraced 36 years ago when he began researching the Amazon rainforest. His first trip to the region was in 1979, as a student of agronomy. Over the ensuing three years he went to the forest seven times by hitchhiking on government airplanes.
