About Anthracothorax
The mangos, Anthracothorax, are a genus of hummingbirds in the subfamily Trochilinae. The genus Anthracothorax was introduced by the German zoologist Friedrich Boie in 1831. The type species was subsequently designated as the green-throated mango.
