Anatoly Brandys Life story
Anatoly Yakovlevich Brandys was a Ukrainian Ilyushin Il-2 ground attack pilot during World War II who was twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. After the war he remained in the Air Force and became a lieutenant-general.
