About Alter Johannisfriedhof
The Alter Johannisfriedhof is the oldest burial ground in the city of Leipzig, Germany. It began in 1278, as part of the Johannishospital in Leipzig, a leper hospital. It was later attached to the Johanniskirche, which was destroyed in World War II.
