Alison Lapper Life story


Alison Lapper MBE is an English artist. She is also the subject of the sculpture Alison Lapper Pregnant, which was on display in Trafalgar Square from September 2005 until late 2007. She and her son Parys feature in the ongoing BBC docuseries Child of Our Time.

artist Alison Lapper , has contributed to hit out at "appalling" Mental Health care after the unveiling of the school bullies, and her son is fighting before his death.

Parys Lapper was 19 when his body was found in a Sussex hotel in the last month.

"The teenage years kicked in. He went from a small school to a massive school, which I think had an impact," She Said .

"We all know that teenage years are hard; they change. I could only see my happy child just disappear in front of my eyes and not knowing what to do.

"I know, he got in a fight, and he hit someone because they said Something about him or me.

"wasn't The Parys. He did not go around punching people, but, obviously, triggered Something . "

Parys was divided into 17-years-old and had treatment in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Ms Lapper instead says that she tried to have him moved closer to their home in Sussex, but he was moved to the addiction in a lean unit.

'Devastated'

"What good is that for someone with anorexia?", She Said .

"There are no arrangements for Young People suffering from Mental Health problems.

"the people who have worked with him, tried their best, but the facilities are appalling. "

Ms Lapper said she had with her son just a few days before he died.

She Said : "I miss him. I am absolutely heartbroken. I feel like he was left in the lurch. "
