Alexandre Urbain Life story
Alexandre Urbain 1875-1953, French painter, was a pupil of Luc-Olivier Merson at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. The artist exhibited at the Independents from 1903. Urbain became a member of the Salon d'Automne, the Society of Painters and Engravers and President of the Society of Independent Artists from 1940 to 1952.
