About Albaicín District
The Albaicín is the medieval Moorish quarter, now a bohemian hub of writers and artists, where crooked, cobbled streets lead to Mirador de San Nicolás for sweeping views of the Alhambra. Tapas bars and cafes are nestled amid whitewashed houses, and lively market stalls and restaurant terraces fringe main square Plaza Larga. The former homes of painter Max Moreau and composer Manuel de Falla are now popular museums.
