About Al-Ashraf Mosque
The Al-Ashraf Mosque or Madrasa/Mosque of Sultan al-Ashraf Barsbay is a historical complex of mosque and madrasa located in Cairo, Egypt. The mosque was built during the Mamluk period by the Burji Sultan Al-Ashraf Al-Barsbay. The complex consists of a mosque-madrasa, mausoleum, and Sufi lodgings.
