Adenosylhomocysteinase

Adenosylhomocysteinase is an enzyme that converts S-adenosylhomocysteine to homocysteine and adenosine. This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine + H₂O ⇌ L-homocysteine + adenosine The enzyme contains one tightly bound NAD⁺ per subunit.
