About Adam And Evelyne
Adam Black (Stewart Granger), a veteran gambler, unexpectedly becomes a father figure after a friend dies and entrusts him with the care of his teen daughter, Evelyne (Jean Simmons). Adam sends Evelyne off to boarding school. When she returns, she is a gorgeous young woman, and this complicates his feelings for her. Meanwhile, Adam's occasional girlfriend, Moira (Helen Cherry), and his trouble-making brother, Roddy (Raymond Young), cause a rift between him and Evelyne that may be irreparable.
