About Ace Eli And Rodger Of The Skies
Eli (Cliff Robertson) was a heroic flying ace performing daring missions over Europe during World War I. Following the death of his wife after the war, he flies around the countryside as a barnstormer, with the help of his 11-year-old son, Rodger (Eric Shea). During their adventures, Ace Eli finds himself caught in a love triangle between duplicitous flapper Shelby (Pamela Franklin) and kind floozy Allison (Bernadette Peters), while Rodger discovers girl trouble of his own.
