Abbas Araghchi Life story


Seyed Abbas Araghchi is an Iranian diplomat who is the former political deputy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran from 2017 to 2021. He previously held office as the Deputy for Asia–Pacific and the Commonwealth Affairs and Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran.

Iran plane crash: Britain condemned Tehran for the arrest of the UK Ambassador

the United Kingdom has condemned the arrest of the British Ambassador in Iran as a "flagrant violation of International Law ".

Rob Macaire was arrested, was shot down for a Short Time on Saturday Night after attending a vigil for those who died, as the Iranian military a passenger Plane .

He left the guard when it turned into a protest, but was later accused of assisting in the organization of the demonstrations.

Iran said he was "an unknown foreigner in an illegal Assembly" and appointed him to The Foreign office on Sunday.

In a statement, the Iranian Ministry of foreign Affairs Mr Macaire was "remembered", said that his presence in "illegal assemblies against" the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations.

the BBC's diplomatic correspondent James Landale said Mr Macaire was to have understood, strongly protested that his arrest was not justified.

Our correspondent says that Mr Macaire made it clear that any suggestion that he was involved in the demonstrations was completely wrong, and he attended an event advertised, said a vigil for The Victims of Wednesday's Crash

Earlier, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi , who was detained denied Mr Macaire, in a tweet that he thought that it was "impossible" when the police told him, the British Ambassador has been arrested.

Mr Macaire has denied participating in protests and Foreign Minister Dominic Raab condemned his arrest.

The Ambassador said he was participating in the vigil, because it was "standard of respect want to pay", and added that some of The Victims were British.

The Ambassador added: "the arrest of diplomats is of course illegal in all countries. "

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel condemned Mr Macaire arrest in a joint statement after a telephone conversation on Sunday, in which they acquire over their "common interests in ensuring that Iran never has a Nuclear Weapon ".

security Minister Brandon Lewis said on Sunday that the British Ambassador, the arrest "totally unacceptable" and a violation of the 1961 Vienna Convention.

"Iran needs to take a step back from this type of activity and play a proper part in co-operation with partners, in order to de-escalate," said Mr Lewis, Sky's Sophie ridge said.

Under the Convention, diplomats are not taken into custody. The Foreign office has a demand for a full explanation.

In a statement on Saturday Night , Mr Raab added: "The capture of our Ambassador in Tehran without justification or explanation, is a blatant violation of International Law .

"is The Iranian government at a crossroads moment. It can still take its March towards pariah status with all the political and economic isolation that brings, or measures to deescalate the tensions and the derived in a diplomatic way. "

Out of the 176 victims on Board the Kiev-bound flight, 138 Canada was listed as a possible destination.

The Queen said she and The Duke of Edinburgh were "deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life".

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were saying their condolences, and they were horrified, "absolutely" of the disaster.

British Mohammed Reza Kadkhoda Zadeh, Sam Zokaei and Saeed Tahmasebi were all on Board

Four Britons were on Board of the Ukrainian passenger Plane .
