About 20000 Varuna
20000 Varuna, provisional designation 2000 WR₁₀₆, is a large classical Kuiper belt object. Michael Brown estimates that it is probably a dwarf planet. It has an elongated shape due to its rapid rotation. Discovered by Spacewatch in 2000, the trans-Neptunian object was named after the Hindu deity Varuna.
