About 1st Sustainment Command (Theater)
The 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) is a major subordinate unit of US Army Central at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The 1st Logistical Command was activated in October 1950 as a planning headquarters at Fort McPherson, Georgia. It was deployed to Poitiers, France in September–October 1951, during the Berlin Crisis of 1951.
