Princess Anne awarded the honorary title of Camilla in Aberdeen

Princess Anne was awarded an honorary doctorate by The Duchess of Rothesay to the University of Aberdeen.

The Princess Royal was conferred with the degree of sister-in-law Camilla in her role as University Registrar.

Princess Anne was nominated by the University for the honour in recognition of her charity work.

she is a patron of save The Children and is involved with the results of other organizations.

Camilla is known as Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland , said she was not sure whether it was "a collective term for the Chancellor ", as Princess Anne is Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh.

'Genuine honour'

then she said to The Audience : "ladies and gentlemen, we have no mention of the rivalry today.

"But I could only observe in passing that, while we celebrate our 525th birthday next month, the University of Edinburgh is relatively young - a mere 437 years old. "

The Princess Royal said it was recognised a "real honor" to the University.

Camilla was the University is the Chancellor - a role which dates back to the year 1860 - the year 2013.

A special award, the Denis Law Legacy was a Trust, which is a free outreach projects for children and Young People .

The Aberdeen-born former Scotland and Manchester United striker was with The Trust representatives at The Event .

Prof George Boyne, principal and vice-Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen, said he was "very pleased" to those" that have been recognized in the service of others".
