Zhenjiang, on the banks of the Yangtze River in eastern China's Jiangsu Province, is known for its surrounding hills. In Jinshan Hill Park, Jinshan Temple has a yellow tower and panoramic views. Jiaoshan Hill is on a nearby island. Its Forest of Steles has hundreds of calligraphy carvings. The Zhenjiang Museum displays Bronze Age artifacts. Bamboo forests and ancient temples dot Nanshan National Forest Park.
