Karpacz

Karpacz

Karpacz is a town in the Karkonosze Mountains in southwestern Poland. It's known as a ski resort. An early-20th-century dam controls the Łomnica River running through town. Perched above Karpacz is the 12th-century Wang Church, transplanted from Norway. Nearby is an entrance to the Karkonosze National Park, with its peaks and lakes. The Polish–Czech Friendship Trail, straddling the countries' border, passes the area.
