Jayanagar

Jayanagar is a residential neighborhood, with traditional-style single-story homes and several local places of worship. Hilltop Ragigudda Anjaneyaswamy Temple, built in 1969, is dedicated to the Hindu monkey god Hanuman. The 4th Block area is known for its many South Indian restaurants while 5th Block is lined with sari shops. Close by, Lalbagh Botanical Garden has popular walking trails and an 1889-built greenhouse.
