Eisenach

Eisenach

Eisenach is a town in central Germany. It's known for the medieval Wartburg Castle, which sits on a high rock overlooking the countryside. Lutherhaus Eisenach is a half-timbered house and museum dedicated to religious reformer Martin Luther. The life of local-born composer Johann Sebastian Bach is celebrated at the Bachhaus Eisenach museum. In the northeast, trails run through Hainich National Park's beech forests.
