Barinas

Barinas, a state in northwestern Venezuela, mostly occupies the seasonally flooded plains of Los Llanos. This vast, biodiverse grassland is home to distinct wildlife including capybaras, piranhas, anacondas and many species of birds. The capital, also known as Barinas, runs alongside the Santo Domingo River and is known for its colonial-era buildings.
