Ardèche is a department in southeast France known for its forests and trails. Pont d'Arc is a natural limestone arch and gateway to the rapids of the Ardèche Gorges. Pont d'Arc Cavern is an artificial cave replicating nearby Chauvet Cave's prehistoric art. North is Château de Crussol, a medieval hilltop fortification overlooking the Rhône Valley.
