Wakuya is a town located in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. As of 30 June 2017, the town had an estimated population of 16,703, and a population density of 203 persons per km² in 6,076 households. The total area of the town is 82. 16 square kilometres. The area is noted for its rice production.
