The town of Wittenburg is the birthplace of the Reformation, with Martin Luther's home (Lutherhaus) and Schlosskirche, the storied church where he's buried. In the Harz Mountains, Schloss Wernigerode is a medieval fort turned castle built in a variety of styles.
