Lackawanna County
Lackawanna County is a county in the U. S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2010 census, the population was 214,437. Its county seat and largest city is Scranton. The county was created on August 13, 1878, following decades of trying to gain its independence from Luzerne County.
