Kita-ku

Kita-ku

Kita is a bustling commercial district rising to a skyline of futuristic office towers. The Umeda Sky Building has a “floating garden” observation deck and a basement-level, 1920s-style dining village, Takimi Koji. Commuters and shoppers flow in and out of transport hub JR Osaka Station and its adjoining malls. The National Museum of Art, on the park-lined river island Nakanoshima, has works by Picasso and Foujita.
