Döbling

Leafy, affluent Döbling, the 19th District, borders the hills of the Vienna Woods. The villages of Grinzing and Nussdorf are dotted with traditional taverns in centuries-old buildings where vintners serve their new wine. Vineyards carpet the slopes of Kahlenberg, with sweeping Danube and city views from its summit. The Waschsalon museum, in 1920s public housing complex Karl-Marx-Hof, chronicles the “Red Vienna” era.
