Ashikaga

Ashikaga

Ashikaga is a Japanese city north of Tokyo. It's known for the spring wisteria blooms and seasonally illuminated gardens of Ashikaga Flower Park. Nearby Kurita Museum has a notable porcelain collection. In the city center, 12th-century Bannaji Temple has a centuries-old gingko tree. The famed Ashikaga School dates from at least the 1400s. In hillside Orihime Park, red-lacquered Orihime Shrine offers city views.
