Philip Swift is a stalwart missionary who was captured by Blackbeard. Thanks to Angelica's belief that her father's soul can be saved, she doesn't allow Blackbeard to kill Philip. Along the journey to find the Fountain of Youth, Philip meets Syrena, a beautiful mermaid, whom he makes a bond with.
