Tochigi

Tochigi is a city in Japan's Kantō region, north of Tokyo. The Kuranomachi area is known for its centuries-old warehouses. Several of these are home to the Kuranomachi Museum of Art, with works by local artists. To the southwest, stone steps surrounded by hydrangea in summer lead up the slope of Mt. Taihei to Ōhirasan Shrine. Farther southwest, Mikamoyama Park has trails, cherry trees and herb gardens.
