Piracicaba

Piracicaba

Piracicaba is a city in southeast Brazil. An elevator leads up to the Alto do Mirante lookout, offering views of the city and Piracicaba River. In a 19th-century pump station, the Water Museum shows old pipes and turbines. Engenho Central, an 1800s sugar mill, now houses a theater. On the first site of Piracicabano College, Martha Watts Cultural Center offers exhibits about the school, founded by a U. S. missionary.
