However, Mr Johnson told MPs that he hoped, when the work began immediately that the trains "could be just until the end of the decade".

The spiral of the cost of The Project triggered a counter-reaction. The cost in the Budget of 2015, to just under £56bn, But an independent estimate puts the cost as high as £106bn.

Mr Johnson added: "We will, in accordance with the review, examine the current costs to determine where savings can be made, in the phase without a redesign. "

head of the Labour Party , Jeremy Corbyn said Mr Johnson has it. no praise is worthy of The Project fired the starting shot

"support to The Labour Party , HS2 as a means of promoting the regional economy and slash emissions. It is important for the increase of the rail capacity and to free, other lines," he said.

"But we don't see why the government should get a Pat on the back for the announcement, it is progressing.

"After All , it is only because of the abject failure of successive Conservative governments to be on top of the cost of The Project 's future was in Doubt . "

'Skilled jobs'

the Lib dem MP Munira Wilson said: "the key to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and combat Climate Change and to cut domestic flights and people moving to our cars and so that is the reason to welcome why HS2 is the announcement and the construction of a third runway at Heathrow is an act of environmental vandalism.
