Coronavirus: The seven types of people, the start and the viral spread of misinformation
Conspiracy Theories , false information and speculation about coronavirus have flooded Social Media . But who starts these rumors? And who spreads them?
We have investigated hundreds of misleading stories during the pandemic. It is an idea about who is behind the false information and what drives them. Here are seven types of people, the dissemination of falsehoods:
no one would, it was hoped, deceived, by a WhatsApp voice memo, calling for the government was to comply with feed cooking a huge lasagna in the Wembley Stadium . But Some People don't get The Joke .
To something more serious example, a prankster, created a screenshot of a fake government text, the claims the receiver had to be punished for leaving The House too many times. He thought it would be the rules of funny, to scare people to break lockdown.
After he and his followers, on Instagram, it found its way into the local Facebook groups, where it was published by concerned residents, some of whom have taken it seriously.
"I don't really want to cause a panic," says the Joker, who would the name not be correct. "But if you believe a picture on Social Media , you really need to assess the kind of new, The Way that you consume information on The Internet . "
Other fake texts, which generates allegedly were from the government or local councils, by the fraudsters are looking to make money from the pandemic.
such fraud in the March claimed that the government of the people, facilitating payments and asked for the Bank details.
photos fraud text has been shared on Facebook. As it circulates through the text message, it is difficult to get to the bottom of who was behind them.
scammers begun, with fake messages about The Virus in order to make money as early as February,
false information, not just from the Dark Corners of The Internet .
last week, President Donald Trump called into question, whether it is a free body of the patient with UV lay-light or injecting bleach may help treat the coronavirus. He speculated and took the facts out of context.
He later claimed the comments were sarcastic. But that did not prevent the people
It is only the U.S. President. A Chinese foreign Ministry spokesman. Conspiracy Theories have been discussed about the outbreak in the Prime Time on Russian State television, and of the pro-Kremlin Twitter account.
All of which has created uncertainty about The Virus , which is a perfect Breeding Ground for Conspiracy Theories .
to call A false Story Of the dark origins, The First volunteer for participation in a UK vaccine study had died, circulated in large anti-vaccination and conspiracy Facebook groups. It was a work of fiction.
Interviews with David Icke on YouTube, which have since been removed, also with false claims that 5G is a coronavirus. Mr Icke also appeared on a London TV station, which was found to be against the British broadcasting standards. His Facebook page was later, according to The Company , for the publication of "health of misinformation, physical damage may result".
Conspiracy Theories have led.
information seems to Sometimes fail from a trusted Source is a doctor, professor or hospital workers.
the "insider" is often nothing of the sort.
A Woman from Crawley in West Sussex was the author of the panic note before Death say terrible - and completely unfounded - toll for the young and healthy coronavirus ill. You have claimed Insider information through their work on an ambulance.
you did not respond to requests for an opinion or a proof of your work, so that we know whether it actually is a health worker. But we know that the claims in their Voice Note , They were unfounded.
The alarming Voice Note and many others went viral, because you are worried people, who then share the news With Friends and family.
contains Danielle Baker, a mother of four from Essex, who forwarded a note to the Facebook Messenger "for the case, it was true."
"at first I was a bit wary because it was sent by a lady that I knew," she says. "I have forwarded it, because I myself and My Sister have babies the same age and also older children have, and we all have High Risk in our households. "
you are trying to be helpful and you think you are doing something positive. But of course not the news you share is true.
