Whale stranded in Cornwall dies despite rescue try
found A whale stranded on a beach in Cornwall died trying in spite of the rescue.
It has been spotted swimming close to Nare Point in The Morning and The Beach on The Rocks in Parbean Cove on the Lizard Peninsula at about noon.
Volunteers have been muted to help it in water, keep it alive and hoped to return it to The Sea at High Tide .
British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) sent experts to The Scene and confirmed it had stopped breathing.
The Animal was a Fin Whale , the second largest creatures on earth, and was 63ft (19. 25m) in length.
Volunteers have been muted to help it in water, keep it aliveDan Jarvis of BDMLR said they were called to The Beach at about 13:30 GMT.
He said: "As we was here for the first time The Animal opened its mouth wide and struck the tail against The Rocks , and it sounded like thunder. "
Mr Jarvis, the Fin Whale said not able to the own weight, so it was the "crushing of self".
He said The Whale was "in a poor nutritional state" - suggesting it was already in poor health before the ship.
The fin whales has been confirmed as dead, the sailing of The British Divers Marine Life RescueSteve Green , from Clean ocean, said The Whale had been swimming next to your boat in Helston in The Morning and was stranded on The Beach at noon.
"I was really hoping we could have some help. Twenty people came, and I had hoped that at High Tide , we were able to help her out," he said.
"she stopped thrashing and stopped to breathe, it is really sad. "
BDMLR States on its website that the whales do not beach themselves under normal circumstances.
It also warns that the chances of survival in a whale than stranded, are low.
