Unemployed journalist Jack Brown (Richard Pryor) is attempting to make ends meet as the night janitor in a ritzy department store owned by Louisiana millionaire U. S. Bates (Jackie Gleason). An Australian man who threw kidnapped a child from a shopping centre and harassed in the remote Bush country has been to prison.
Sterling Mervyn Free, 27, lured the seven-year-old girl from a Kmart store in Brisbane last December.
He then drove her to a secluded place where he sexually abused her, before giving her about an hour later.
A judge called The Attack "every parent's worst nightmare" and imprisoned for a maximum period of eight years - a sentence that has drawn controversy.
