Alexei Leonov, the First person to die walk in the room, at the age of 85 years
Leonov was celebrated in 1965, the mission, in 2017 the Russian film, "The space Walker"
Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov , who was in 1965 the First Person in the history space walk, has died at the age of 85 years.
Attached to his spaceship by a 4. 8m (16ft) cable, the Russian hovered over the earth for 12 Minutes .
"you can't understand it easily. Just outside, you can said the feeling of the size of the huge size of everything that surrounds us," Leonov of the BBC in the year 2014.
But the trip nearly ended in disaster when his space suit inflated and he fought to get back in the space ship.
In a time when the USA and the USSR were, jostling For Space superiority, Leonov mission was hailed as a triumph at home.
But don't stop Leonov ambitions for his space walk. He was later commander of Soyuz-Apollo, The First American-Soviet mission in 1975.
Leonov died in Moscow's Burdenko hospital on Friday after a long illness, his assistant confirmed.
Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko , said Leonov ' s death was a "loss for the whole world", while President Vladimir Putin said he admired the astronauts ' courage.
', Floating without control'Leonov was born in Siberia, his father was a victim of Stalinist repression. His Family moved to Kaliningrad in the West of Russia in 1948.
As an Air Force pilot, he was selected to be the training to be a cosmonaut in 1960. He trained with Yuri Gagarin , The First man in space, and the two became Close Friends .
Leonov described his failure in the space in numerous interviews in the media.
"It was so quiet that I could beat listen to my heart," he told The Observer . "I was surrounded by stars and hovered without much control. I'll never forget the moment. I also felt an incredible sense of responsibility. Of course, I didn't know that I experience The Most difficult moments in My Life - always in the capsule. "

He was two times the country's top award-the medal of Hero of the Soviet Union .

A self-taught artist, Leonov was sent in to draw in zero gravity. It was during the space-walking mission in 1965, the Leonov created The First work of art in the room.
In the graphic, Leonov showed a small, But remarkable sunrise from the point of view of the "Voskhod" 2-space ship.
London Science Museum Leonov ' s color pen-drawing as part of a large exhibition on the cosmonauts in the year 2015.
