registered crime in Scotland fell by about 25% while the coronavirus is blocking, police, Scotland.

The Number of serious assaults decreased by over 40% and house break-ins compared to 30% with the same period Last Year .

But, "public nuisance" incidents - mostly based on people reporting, other Rules for breaking lockdown has More Than doubled.

Police Scotland said that they were now about a fifth of all calls.

fraud also increased by More Than 10% between 24. March and 19 April ,

The Force said there was some evidence to suggest that criminals advantage of the coronavirus crisis were to commit a crime.

noise incidents also increased "significantly," the belief of the officers that could be related to the increased amount of time people spend At Home .

It was warned of a "slight decrease" in domestic violence incidents, but the police in Scotland, this could not reflect what was going on behind closed doors.

The Deputy Chief Constable of Police Scotland , Fiona Taylor, said that the "significant" changes to life in Britain had an effect "on the type and the amount of demand on the police work".

they also warned that the preliminary figures covered a relatively short period of time, and cautioned against making assumptions about longer-term trends.

Ms Taylor said: "We see, for example, a slight decrease of domestic violence incidents, but are aware that this is not necessarily what is happening behind closed doors and we don't know that people will report abuse immediately.

"For some may be exposed this time is the physical distancing and isolation to a greater risk of abuse, injury and neglect.

"We have to highlight our Social Media channels, our concern and awareness in the communities. We want people to feel safe, and we want to prevent harm by identifying people who may be At Risk , and put measures that will help keep you safe. "

The Deputy chief constable went on to say that the protection of children remained a priority for the police, Scotland, and there would be no change in The Way officers responded to the issue of the protection of the child.

the Police Scotland figures also suggest that a breach of The Peace fell by More Than 50% with possession of drugs by around a fifth.

But The Force is of the view that there could be "months or years" before there is a clear picture on how the pandemic and the subsequent social distancing measures, the crime in Scotland was affected.

The Deputy police Commissioner added: "These signs suggest that it will save less crime on The Streets and in Our Town centres, as do the vast majority of people step forward to do their part to protect the NHS and to live. "
