Nov 19,2023 9:11 pm

Indian troops on The Border to China

has accused China, Indian troops, as a "deliberate provocation" in its First Official comments on Monday to the deadly clash on a disputed Himalayan border.

foreign Ministry spokesman Lijian Zhao said the troops had crossed, in the Chinese territory, and attacked, triggering "severe physical conflicts".

However, he gave details of Chinese victims.

On Friday, Indian PM Narendra Modi said that no foreign troops had crossed India's borders and no territory was lost.

Mr modes vowed that India would be the defence of its border with military force, if necessary.

Twenty Indian soldiers were killed on valley at The Clash in the Galwan. India has said that both sides suffered losses during the fighting.

What China's version of the events?

Mr. Zhao said, the Galwan valley was on the Chinese side of Line of Actual Control (LAC), the poorly demarcated border between the two nuclear-armed powers.

He Said the collision occurred at a time when the voltage had been stripped rebuilt easing after India demolished infrastructure on the Chinese side of the LAC in may and staff, following an agreement between Chinese and Indian officials.

But on 15. June Indian troops "Once Again crossed The Line of Actual control for the conscious provocation, if The Situation in the Galwan valley was already said easing", Mr Zhao.

"India, the front-line troops, even force the Chinese officers and soldiers, attacked the negotiations, resolves a fierce physical conflicts and cause losses," He Said .

India is building "roads, bridges and other facilities," of the LAC, in the Galwan Valley in April, Mr. Zhao said.

What had to say PM modi?

In a televised statement on Friday, Mr modes, said there had been no intrusion into Indian Territory .

"no one has intervened in our limit, neither is there anyone who have been now, even our contributions," He Said .

India's armed forces had given "a free hand, all the necessary steps" to protect the Indian Territory , he added.

"The whole country is hurt and angry on The Steps of China," He Said , adding: "India wants peace and friendship, but respect for sovereignty is the most important. "

His government had earlier, China accused for The Clash , with The Foreign Ministry releasing a statement on Wednesday, saying it had been sparked after "the Chinese side is trying to build a structure, in the Galwan valley on our side of the LAC".

What happens in the Galwan valley?

media reports that troops clashed on a mountain ridge at an elevation of nearly 4,300 m (14,000 ft) in steep terrain, with some soldiers to the river in sub-zero temperatures to fall into the fast-flowing Galwan.

at least 76 Indian soldiers were reportedly injured in addition to the 20 dead. China does not publish information on Chinese victims.

The fighting took place without firearms, because of the 1996 agreement, apart from weapons and explosives from the area.

A picture that emerged on Thursday, allegedly showed some of the crude weapons in The Fight .

The photo that appears to show iron bars studded with nails, was sent to The Bbc by a senior Indian military on the official India-China border, said the weapons had been used by the Chinese.

The Image was widely shared on Twitter in India, prompting outrage by many Social Media users. Neither Chinese or Indian officials have commented on it.

- Why were there no weapons?

The Galwan river valley in Ladakh, with its harsh climate and the high Alpine terrain in the vicinity of Aksai Chin, a disputed territory claimed by India but controlled by China.

This is not the First Time that the two nuclear-fought armed neighbors without conventional firearms at The Border . India and China have a history of face-offs and overlapping territorial claims all along the More Than 3.440 km (2,100 miles), poorly-drawn LAC separates the Two Sides .

The Last firing at The Border in 1975 happened when four Indian soldiers were killed in a remote pass in the North-Eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh . The Clash was variously described by former diplomats as an ambush and lead to an accident. But no bullets have been fired since.

At the root, this is a 1996 bilateral agreement that says: "no page is opened Fire . Conduct blast operations or hunt with guns or explosives within two kilometers from The Line of Actual control".

But there were other tense confrontations along The Border in recent weeks. In may, Indian and Chinese soldiers physical blows exchanged after The Border at Pangong Lake, in Ladakh and in the North-Eastern Indian state of Sikkim, and hundreds of miles to The East .

India has accused China to send thousands of troops in the Galwan valley, and China occupies 38,000 sq km (14,700 square miles) of its territory. Several rounds of talks have failed in The Last three decades, to solve The Border disputes.
