He also called for greater opportunities for black creative off-camera and in senior management positions, as well as ensuring that the marketing budgets were not slashed, of the "myths of the limited international distribution, and the lack of universality of the Black-led stories".

The Letter noted, such as "sales and marketing processes are often distorted, filtered, and manipulated by the white gaze."

The Open call comes in the same week, in the UK, The Bbc is obliged to invest £100m from its TV budget to produce over a three-year period, "diverse and inclusive content".

Terry said, the worldwide movement is an opportunity for a deep and meaningful change.

"This is an opportunity for us to unite and get together and understand what this is and that we are in this battle together," He Said .
