The British have a lot of unforgettable moments over the decades. Here are 10 moments that will be kept for the archives.

1. Madonna unplanned trip down the stairs

Madonna had The Wardrobe malfunction to end all wardrobe malfunctions, when closed, the 2015 Brit Awards with an elaborate performance of her new single, living For love.

"I had a little bit of whiplash, I smacked the back of my head," she later recalled on The Jonathan Ross Show. "And I had A Man stood Over Me with a flashlight until about 3am to make sure I was compos mentis. "

2. Freddie Mercury 's last public appearance as Queen, to accept your award in 1990

Queen front man Freddie Mercury in his last public appearance, while collecting an outstanding contribution award at the 11th Brit Awards in 1990.

Fans were used to seeing the dynamic singers dominate the stage, But in The Night , guitarist Brian May said in the name of The Group . A haggard-looking Mercury on the speech ended with a simple "Thank You , good night".

It was not publicly known at the time that The Star had been diagnosed with Aids three years earlier. The Band were not informed, at first.

"actually, We do not even know what was wrong for a very long time," guitarist Brian May remembered later. "We never talked about it, we was a kind of Unwritten Law . He has only said that he would make us up to tours, and that is as far as it. "

Mercury died in 1991, A Day after he made his diagnosis public.

3. "Theresa May , where The Money for Grenfell?"

Stormzy closed in the year 2018, The Ceremony , a rebuke to then-Prime Minister Theresa May for their handling of the Grenfell Tower fire.

In an angry rap, he demanded: "Theresa May , where The Money for Grenfell?"

He also accused the government of the hope The Public would forget the disaster, and added: "they are criminals, and you have wild the gall to call us. You should bring some in jail, you should do some damages to pay. We should burn your house and see if you can manage this. "

At the time, the government said it had pledged £58. 9m for Grenfell, of which £30m has been spent.

A year after The Tragedy , Theresa May wrote that "The First reaction was good enough".

4. Mr Prescott gets soaked John Prescott and his wife was shortly after getting soaked, 1998

the Deputy Prime Minister , John Prescott , joyfully Fleetwood Mac play watch them Go their Own way at the 1998 Brits when Danbert Nobacon , of anarchist Pop band Chumbawamba, jumped on his table and emptied a bucket of ice water on Him and his wife.

"This is for the Liverpool dockers!", he yelled, in reference to New Labour's inaction over a two-year strike in Merseyside.

Chumbawamba had previously, The Ceremony of performing their hit single " Tubthumping, change to opened a section of the text: "New Labour" - sold out the dockers, just like they sold the rest of us".

Prescott called The Incident an "absolutely despicable" and "cowardly" publicity stunt; and Nobacon was handed over to the police by his fellow band member Alice Nutter . He was later released, after the Welsh politicians refused to make a formal complaint.

Fourteen years later, Prescott got his revenge on Twitter, after the news that Chumbawamba had separated.

Adele has a lot of history with the British.

she brought The Ceremony to a halt, with the idea of having Someone Like you in 2011, and has a bright cut off during an acceptance speech to make way for Blur in The Following year.

6. Jarvis Cocker vs Michael Jackson , Michael Jackson in the Earth Song on the stage at the 1996 Brit Awards

This is The One everyone, even if it was edited from the TV show.

In 1996, Michael Jackson was in the British for a understated, low-key performance of his quiet, contemplative single Earth Song.

Oh, okay, then it was completely nuts. Jackson portrayed himself as a Christ-like figure, offer, help, to please children and adults surrounding Him as he howled a bombastic seven-minute song about the Environmental Disaster .

When The Star stepped on a crane and hovered above The Audience , Pulp's Jarvis Cocker had enough. He went On Stage , looked around in disdain, then The Audience turned and wiggled his butt.

Asked to explain The Incident later this week, "I was just sitting there and watching and feeling a little sick, because he's going to do it, to act in his Jesus.

"I just thought: 'The stage is there, I'm here, and you can Do Something about it, and say: that is a nonsense, if you wanted to. "

Jackson in a statement said he was disgusted", sad, shocked," and, just in case you haven't The Point , "dismayed and angry".

But others in The Audience , Cocker took on ' s page. When the musician was on a nearby police station for allegedly hitting and knocking over three of The Children On Stage with Him , comedian Bob Mortimer , a former lawyer, offered to represent Him . Men Badly Martin Clunes Behaves and Neil Morrissey staged a "Free Jarvis" campaign from the outside.

The next day, the musician Brian Eno said of the stage of the protest was completely justified.

"I think he did it because The Show was so terrible", "The whole mood of The Show was self-inflating. "

5. Björk gets fruity

Björk, won The Best international female category more often than any other artist, under the title four times in The Last 26 Years .

she was never completely comfortable with the distinction, though. In the year 1996, as Goldie is presented with The Trophy , which she buried bashful in his jacket, before she muttered a simple "Thank You ".

Two years later, she came to keep up with a speech prepared. "I Am ," She Said solemnly, "the grateful grapefruit".

8. Jack Whitehall vs Piers Morgan , Jack Whitehall is presenting the return to this year's Brit Awards

Jack Whitehall , the British took over the hosts in three years, and immediately The Role made his own with a series of wild one-liners.

"If you like Adele songs, But think you are too optimistic you are in for a treat", he announced in the year 2018. "Sam Smith performs. "

A year later, references to Westlife's comeback, he joked: "Suddenly, a hard border with Ireland is not sounds so bad".

But he drew the attention of taunting Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan , about his collision with the girl-group Little Mix .

"Piers Morgan did not like the picture where she is stripped naked," he informed The Band . "This is must be funny, because, you know, lush Breasts, and four-Kinne - it, like looking in The Mirror for Him . "

Whitehall and Morgan sparred over The Joke later; But , finally, bury The Hatchet , if Whitehall has appeared on Good Morning Britain.

9. Valerie-dictorian Amy Winehouse with Mark Ronson performing Valerie, 2008
