Flybe: Ryanair's Michael O'leary is threatening lawsuit over the rescue
, The chief of Ryanair has threatened legal action concerning state aid for regional carrier Flybe .
Michael O 'leary has written a strongly-worded letter to the Chancellor, Sajid Javid , says the rules of The State to The Rescue from Flybe against the competition.
He argued the measures in place to Flybe should be expanded to other airlines.
If you said not, that Ryanair intends to take legal action against the government, Mr O'leary.
British Airways ' owner IAG has already filed a complaint with the EU, with the argument of The Rescue of breaches of the rules for state aid.
earlier This Week , the government approved the aid for Flybe , which is thought to be the center on the indication of the airline additional time to pay over £100m of outstanding Air Passenger Duty (APD).
The Details of The Rescue plan still not been made public, but the government has said it is fully compatible with The State aid rules.
Mr O'leary's letter describes the bailout as "ill-rescue of a chronically loss-making airline is thought" and calls for any tax exemption Flybe granted be extended to the rival operators.
"in contrast to the Flybe -we all operate profitable business models (without the benefit of being owned by billionaires)" The Letter says, "We must be treated in the same way as Flybe , to Exist when fair competition. "
Flybe owners include Richard Branson 's Virgin Atlantic , Stobart Group and Cyrus Capital, have agreed to invest £30m in the airline.
Stobart Group said it has £9m of capital is drawn", with the Fund down, Only If required".
HMRC, the UK tax authority has indicated in a tweet that what is described as a "tax holiday" for Flybe is available to other companies, leading to difficulties.
"Time-to-Pay arrangements are common, in which taxes or duties are owed," it said. HMRC said last year, More Than 700,000 such arrangements were used.
'Lack of transparency'Ryanair's letter said that the government should be clarified what kind of support is Flybe be given, including details of the "APD holiday".
"you Should not confirm these facts within the next seven-day period, please note that Ryanair intends to use the procedure against their government for breach of UK and EU Competition Law , and breach of The State aid rules," The Letter said.
IAG has also written to the government you are accused of a "lack of transparency" and has filed a freedom of information request about The Details of The Rescue .
The government has said it will give APD as part of the commitment of the government for the improvement of regional connections in the United Kingdom. It intends to make a further announcement in the budget in March.
in the rail vehicle Industry bodies and environmental lobby groups, the concern expressed that by lowering the taxes on the fly, provided the wrong incentives in a time, the government also aims to cut carbon emissions to tackle the climate crisis.
The Department for Transport said the result would be a "benefit to the Industry as a whole".
