Ringo Starr: "Abbey Road" was not now meant to be, The Beatles last album

Ringo Starr : "None of us has said, 'OK, this is The Last time that we ever play together,'"

last week, The Beatles ' "Abbey Road " returned to the Number One , almost 50 Years after its original publication.

Until recently, it was believed that The Band had in the studio that you go to your last Album , in the hope to be on a high after the fractious sessions for Let It Be.

But Beatles expert Mark Lewisohn and the Fab Four discussing a follow-up in the year 1969.

it has Now been confirmed Ringo Starr , The Band wanted to keep recording in The 70S .

"We have" Abbey Road " and we were like, 'Okay, this is pretty good"," he told BBC 6 Music, "But none of us said, 'OK, this is The Last time that we ever play together'. No one has said that. I never had the feeling that.

"We would be this CD, And Then we would go and do what we wanted to do. And Paul would call us and say, 'Hey, do you want to go in the studio guys?' and we would do another.

"So it wasn't the end - because in the end, the love matches, you take the love you make is. So I never had the feeling that it [the end of The Band ] was set in stone. "

Starr also recalled the founding of the famous medley from the Abbey Road 's finale.

"All of the writing to a great level, because you always did -But on page two, each was the finishing of the songs. But the medley? It works so great.

"is It so as we could do nothing wrong: you have not! to the end of The Song Let us simply edit together and it works like a mini-game. I love this section. It was really funny. "

(Although Abbey Road was released before Let it Be, it was actually The Last Album of The Band . The Sessions , you Can found It previously in 1969 with producer Phil Spector finishing off the record in the early 1970-ies, the addition of new mixes and overdubs. )

The Star was. in the run-up to the publication of His latest book, Another Day In The Life , this is the third in a series of collections with their own photos charting His life from childhood up to recent tours with His current group, The All-Starr Band

The Band are also playing next to Ringo on His new Album , His twentieth title What's My Name?

It looks, The Drummer works with a large cast of stakeholders, including The Eagles , Joe Walsh , Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers ' keyboardist Benmont Tench and The Song grow Old With Me, His former band mate Sir Paul Mccartney .

"It's The Best . I love to play with him," Ringo says about the collaboration with His old friend. "We played a lot together in this band", and he is still in The Most melodic player. He is still unbelievable for me, I feel the emotion when she plays. "

it was one of The Last songs wrote Lennon, and pointed to the famous Bermuda-Tapes: A Collection of demos that included The Star in 1980, with producer Jack Douglas.

Ringo was invited to the recording of His version after the discovery of John had given an unexpected introduction to The Band .

"I had no idea how this song," Ringo says, "I met Jack this year, and he says, 'Have you ever the cassette tape to listen to?'

"I said, 'What tape?'

"He said, 'John, the songs do! The demos do in Bermuda!'

"I said, 'no, never heard of', and so he says, 'Well, I'll make it For You '.

"So anyway, he had the tapes, he downloaded it to a CD for me. At the beginning of this CD, John says, 'Oh, that sounds like a good song for Richard Starkey. This would be great For You , Ringo". I think still good.

"I love The Song . It is very romantic, and so it is, I suspect, written for John and Yoko. And so I put my piece, and it is Barbara [Bach, His wife]

"I think every bride should make her almost-husband, he sings to her. I want it to be like the Wedding Song of the century!"
