Mette Frederiksen is a Danish politician who has served as Prime Minister of Denmark since June 2019, and Leader of the Social Democrats since June 2015. The second woman to hold either office, she is also the youngest prime minister in Danish history.

Mette frederiksen was bron on 19 november 1977 in hvidovre. A suburb of copenhagen. She is the daughter of a taxi driver and a nurse. She attended hvidovre high school and graduated in 1996.

Frederiksen became involved in politics at an early age. Joining the socail democrats at was elected to the folketing (danish parliament) in 2001. At age 23.
