Jun 24,2020 12:02 pm

foreign Minister Dominic Raab called on to take on Iran , "a diplomatic way" to reduce the tensions, after the US killing of Iran 's top military leaders.

Mr Raab said that the UK will understand why last week, and the US "had a right to exercise self-defence".

But he said that the BBC wanted to in the UK to escalate the "de-tension" and avoid "a great war".

the Iraqi deputies have worked.

And the US-led coalition against the Islamic state group said it is the training of local allies.

Instead, the focus is now on the protection of the Iraqi bases that host U.S., Britain and other coalition troops.

A UK government spokesman said it was to ensure, to the insistence of the Iraqi government that The Coalition would be able to continue his "important work" against the "common threat".

"This is a coalition in Iraq, Iraqis and others from the danger of Daesh (Islamic state), at The Request of the Iraqi government," the spokesman said.

Pressed on whether The Killing was legal, Mr Raab said: "My view is - and the operational assessment was from The Americans -that there is a right to self-defense.

"It was not General Soleimani is the task-to destabilize in the description of the proxies and militias over not only Iraq but the whole region, not only those countries, to attack, but in the Western countries. In these circumstances, The Right of self-defense clearly applies. "

'Grim possibility of endless violence'Analysis

the BBC's diplomatic correspondent James Robbins

Under enormous pressure from the Trump Administration, the UK edged closer to The Americans than The Killing of Soleimani, but still far from the kind of full-throated, instead of support, and Washington from its allies.

In The Absence of Boris Johnson on vacation in The Caribbean , it was the Minister for foreign Affairs, has characterised the British response.

Dominic Raab is now the danger of Soleimani in life, without a retreat from the British warnings about the possible consequences of his death. a little more

emphasizes So if Mr Raab told the BBC: "We understand The Action that you took, but we have made ourselves clear, focuses on what comes next," it is important to note that "understanding" falls a long way short of endorsement or support. And in this single sentence, Mr. Raab is determined to continue the focus on the fears for The Future .

The state Secretary of the Federal foreign office made to hide little effort, widespread British fears that Washington has no coherent step-by-step strategy to make Iran a better place on The World stage.

Taken at Face Value , the approach offers the gloomy possibility of endless violence, as long as no page offers a different kind of way.

Mr Raab said he first became aware of The Killing of Soleimani "as it happened", and said U.S. counterpart Mike Pompeo -who he will meet for pre-arranged talks in Washington This Week - on Friday.

Mr Raab is also expected to pick up his French and German counterparts ahead of the trip to the USA.

"We must also see that there is a way, a door left open for a diplomatic solution, so that, if the leadership in Tehran to Wake up to your options, you understand, it is a positive way for you. "
