If an 11-year-old Carl returned to his primary school in south-east London This Week , had changed almost everything. He spoke to The Bbc after the lessons Every Day , painting a picture of a school in lockdown.

Monday, 1. June

I had on my uniform in months, and it felt weird. I couldn't wear my Band - The School said it was to prevent the infection from ties to pull on different surfaces. I could just take a bottle of water with me, and no bag. When we arrived at The School gates, we had to wait in a queue to 2m apart. My mom called out "Hello" and "are you all right?", some of The Other parents, but it was no Chat.

Before I had to wash in The School , my hands for 20 seconds. We were all sat in tables of Our Own writing, apart from all the others. Once you had decided, your Desk, the yours until The End of the term, you could not sit Anywhere Else .

There are nine kids in My Class were out Today , the maximum we use in our class "bubble" is a 10, and it was of a variety of students from different year six classes. I had a different teacher and teaching assistant. They wanted to not wear masks, but they kept a distance and remained at The Front of The Class . At times, you would say, "time for hand disinfection!"

The teachers have a few rules that show what you should do in The School building. One is that we have to follow a one-way system, when we walk around The School . To secure in order to ensure that we keep our distance, the teachers say, "stretch your arms" and when you almost touch someone you have, or go to The Front . If we go anywhere, you can only do that if the person has made in front of you, three steps.

We had maths and English Today , and we ate our lunch in the classroom. If he came to play in the outdoors, on The Playground was divided into squares and you could have three or Four Friends from their class in a square With You , while still having The Social distancing Once you had chosen, you would stay with the same people for outdoor play until The End of the term. I looked at two of My Friends . It's just a glance and we knew that the three of us would be in a square lasted.

'Back To happiness'

When we play basketball in the yard, we were able to hands The Ball to each other with our. I miss that. On The Court I was Today we had to balls to tennis and I was able to bowl with The Ball , but I would go and pick it up myself, no one could catch it. If you were on the pitch, the footballs, they could kick someone to The Ball , but not touch The Ball with their hands or deal with anyone.

Four of my closest friends have not Back To school.

Tuesday, may 2. June

We had PE Today , and so I wore my PE kit to school This Morning . It was colder on The Way to school and I had goose bumps. Our teacher says that viruses remain on the clothes, so We Are not able to change into our sports kit in school, as we would normally do. We wore it and it stayed until we went home.

We were Today . We had science and we went in a single line around The School grounds, always three steps behind someone, looking at the habitats of insects.

In our PE lesson we had a competition between different groups, they all had their own tennis-ball, And One of the things we had to do was bowl The Ball , and if you press the wicket of their group got a point. We have practiced our fast footwork, the weaving in and out of the cones.

My favorite lesson is mathematics. I would like to be a computer engineer in The Future . I usually go to math club After School on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but all the clubs of cancelled in.

I pulled it, what was school like before the lockout, but I'm becoming more and more the feeling, as it is now. Also if you need to, keep your distance from Your Friends , you can chat still With You , and we have invented what we call the invisible-high-Fives - it's like a normal high-five, but in the air.

Wednesday, may 3. June

We have two new themes Today , History and art. In History we learned all about the History of London. In art we came up with ideas based on artist Barbara Hepworth sculpture. My design was a sheet, and a hole in The Middle was, where the sun pointed the light.

One of My Friends not to come to school Today , So There were only two of us, space for outdoor play. We Are really Good Friends , and I missed him, but I still had my other girlfriend.

We do not see who else from The Other classes during The Day as you do different activities at different times, and they enter and leave The School at different times also.

I went to school and come home by me, but with the new routine, my mom takes and picks me up. She says it is as it was when I was back in the 1. Year.

The School year ends 30 Minutes earlier than it did, before the lockdown, and my mom says it is quieter in The School gates as she takes me and picks me up.

Every year in the summer we have sports day and it was good to have, because we have different competitions in different groups, but we don't have sports day this year.

This is my Last Year in elementary school. It would participate in, as a rule, a big party for us at The End of The School year, and we would be in the year 6 productions. It's a shame that I get to do these experiences.

Thursday, the 4. June

though it was different This Week , nice to be back in school.

We had the Design and the technology of Today , and learned about mechanics, and we wrote a description of the main character in a book we have read rooftop Persian called.

In PSHCE (Personal Social health and citizenship education), we have learned about the riots that have what. in the United States after the death of George Floyd

It was my turn in the football space on The Field Today in the free play. It was good to play football again. My Friend was not in school again, but he says he'll be back next week.

mom says, The School begins to feel more normal. She is really impressed with how the teachers always make sure that everyone keeps to The Social distancing. You will be happy, when everything go Back To how it used to be, and the gates were able to chat to The School again, but she says she knows it will take a while.

Friday, 5. June

We had a half day of school Today . The teacher said, The School will be closed on Friday afternoon for a deep clean.

We went to The School in our PE kit, as we have on Tuesday, but we had to allow no PE - it's all an extra day for our uniforms to be washed.

I am Back To school again on Monday. I'm also Looking Forward to Secondary School in September. Mama says she is excited for my "new adventures in year 7". She says she is really proud of me.

My mother has a message for other students who are planning to go Back To school, for the First Time in the next week.

"I know it's a bit scary for Some People , but Just Be open-minded and just look on The Bright side," she says, "and try to be calm and try to be positive. "
