To unite Toronto, 2019: Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, for The aeronauts
Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne at the Toronto Film Festival
Eddie Redmayne has described the "absolutely wonderful" experience, with Felicity Jones on the screen.
The couple is together for the first time in 2014 The theory of Everything Redmayne deserves an Oscar.
Now you are back with The aeronauts, the Premiere in Toronto on Sunday.
"If someone suggested, I thought, oh yeah, that would be amazing," Redmayne said of their reunion.
"It was absolutely wonderful. It was one of those things where we had the intense and extraordinary experience, The theory of Everything, and if we were offered, this script back, it was the slight nervousness of 'we go?'
"But we enjoyed the experience so much, we called each other, and I was like, 'I'm going to do it, if you can do it". And I'm so thrilled that we did because it was a travel. "
Set in 1862, The aeronauts follows balloon driver Amelia Wren , and meteorologist James Glaisher , whose goal is to fly higher than any other in history.
But they are both for the physical and emotional challenges, such as the height increases, and the couple finally, to fight for survival, as the air is thinner.
The aeronauts premiered in Toronto on SundayThe film is directed by Tom Harper and written by Jack Thorne , known for scripting the Harry Potter .
"For me, it is a film about miracles," Redmayne told Bbc News . "And we are in a world in which, and I'm a massive offender, we spend so much time looking at our phones and looking down, and for me, the film about the search, so that's what attracted me to it. "
Jones said the two have a good working relationship because of their similar approach to the film.
"We're great friends and we are both very carefully, we push each other, it can be quite a intense process together," she said.
"We are not very similar to us, that we stop until we get something that we think is good. We will continue to push for, so it was a wonderful experience to work with someone who is as strong and determined as yourself. "
she continued: "We both said together Yes, we were separated screenplays, and the fact they are both such brilliant characters that it is what tipped the balance. I think, had the character not so good, The Other person did not want to participate, but there was so much stuff for both of us, so it was a mutual Agreement . "
Jones said she was desperate to act, because the work on villains OneJones added that the film was an opportunity to return to the style of the role, which she has not done since its appearance in the year 2016, the villains One: A Star Wars story.
"I was desperate, some of the actions done rogue One a couple of years ago, and there is this wonderful climbing, Amelia Wren has at the end of the film, and that's what tipped the balance for me to do just an action film. "
critics of Jones and Redmayne have welcomed the re-unification, although the film received mixed reviews overall.
"The Script , unfortunately, is for the absolute minimum to define, James and Amelia and constantly loses air, when it reaches the melodramatic clichés,"
"Boring and always unwelcome flashbacks feel annoying when they constantly break she takes the balloon, graceful yet dangerous glide over London and the clever offer tête-à-tête Between the. "
"The aeronauts throws historical accuracy to The Wind , but at least justice is to survive, in order to improve the thrill of early flight, with a new technology, an old-fashioned story.
"There is enough potential with the balloon' s heroic deeds to justify a whole feature-length experience in the basket, but The aeronauts are constantly under the travel shoehorn random tangents collapses on the floor, and busy up the drama with under-developed side characters. "
The aeronauts will be released in cinemas for a short window of time before Amazon Studios makes it on its streaming Service .
