My money is a series on how people spend their money - and the sometimes difficult decisions that You have. Here, Maura Hannon from Switzerland, spending about a week and share tips to save money.

Maura is 47. She lives with her husband, Martin, and three children, Helena, 14, Flynn , 12, and Dylan, 11. She is an Irish-Australian who moved to Switzerland from Australia 15 years ago. She leads her own communication services business in the German and French bilingual city of Biel/Bienne.

Thursday evening between 18:30 and 20:00, my husband and I 90 minutes together, have a child and work-free! We have made it a ritual to have a drink together on a Thursday, therefore, we meet in a local bar. I order a beer, share a glass of wine and a small pot of hummus and three slices of bread. The total costs amounted to CHF 18. 50, but it is normal, round, paid, so I have a flat CHF20.

Flynn comes home today. He has A Number of chronic digestive problems and has a severely limited diet with gluten and dairy-free, as well as some vegetables such as garlic, onions, and broccoli. We usually have soup on Monday evening after a big Sunday cook-up. But today, we are seriously low on food in The House , so I'll have to do-shop. I'll take an hour or so at the beginning of the preparation of the meal menu for the next week with The Menu planning app.

I'm not going to have the time to do the weekly shop today, because I have to go home between 17:00 and 18:00 as the Flynn home with the bus. This afternoon Dylan hockey training in Biel and there is a supermarket in The Complex , so I'll take him early and pop to the supermarket to buy a few things for dinner.

The Kids asked for homemade hamburgers and French fries for dinner, so I minced meat and oven buy French fries. I also buy yogurt, eggs and bread for Breakfast, including gluten-free bread for Flynn , and some potato chips, because it is Friday.

I no time to cook, a whole chicken for Flynn , so I prefer a chicken-pack from the freezer, and use The Last of the potatoes to make its chips.

Helena and Martin are starting early for sporting events, and Flynn , Dylan and I walk in the city centre after Breakfast, a few errands to run, but to take more than an apology Flynn for a long walk. Barber services are quite expensive here, so I have to buy some hair dye for me in a cosmetics store, The Most competitive prices.

I also always use coupons here and instead of paying CHF8. 95, I pay CHF5. 35. I also cut Flynn 's hair today. Flynn does not like that he cut his hair, and after a few bad experiences when he was a kid, I taught myself How To do it. The supermarket is really what's going to work this afternoon, and bulk-food shopping is one of my most disliked house. One of the reasons why I menu-planning app is that I can generate a shopping list, the ordered by section, to make The Process as efficient as possible. When I shop, I check the items from The List on my phone.

Dylan picked up early in The Morning to play ice-hockey-match from another family. We share the training and match-go with another family as the time commitment can be intense. Martin is working abroad This Week , so Flynn and I leave him at the station.

Flynn loves to swim and so he and I are going to a hot mineral spring bath. Although the entrance fee is more expensive than a normal swimming pool, there are two reasons why we go to fairly regularly. First, the temperature of the water is very warm, which is important for Flynn because he gets cold very quickly. Second, the bathrooms also for disabled people, and as his caregiver, I do not entrance fee for an adult from CHF 38 to pay, only the cost to him of CHF16. 00.
