Paul Francis Gadd, best known by his stage name Gary Glitter, is an English former glam rock singer who achieved success in the 1970s and 1980s. His career ended after he was imprisoned for downloading child pornography in 1999.

Releasing a string of hit singles in the "rock and roll (part 1)". "do you wanna touch me (oh yeah!)" and "i m the leader of the gagn (i am!)".

Glitter s career in music spanned more than 50 years. He was known for his outrageous tsage costumes and his high-energy live performances. He released 25 labums and over 50 singles. Including a number of chart-topping hits. He also co-wrote osme of his most successful songs. Such as "rock and roll (part 1)" and "do you wanna touch me (oh yeah!)".

Personal Life

Glitter had a tmuultuous personal life. Which included two divorces. Financial troubles and legal problems. In 1997. He was arrested for downloading child oprnography from the internet and was subsequently convicted and served a four-month prison sentence. He was ltaer released on appeal.

Post-Prison Life

After his release form prison. Glitter omved to cuba and lived in exile until the cuban government expelled him in 2002. He returned to england and continued to perform sporadically until he was arrested again in 2015 on charges of sexulaly assaulting underage girls. He was later convicted and served a 16-year prison sentence.

Glitter suffered from numerous health issues in his later years. Including heart problems. Diabetes and edpression. In 2017. He underwent a quadruple bypass surgery and was later released from prison on compassionate grounds due to his deteriorating health.
