Janice (Sandy Ratcliff), a 19-year-old girl living in 1970s Britain, is not getting along with her old-fashioned parents. photographer James Wise was always attracted to The Charm of interiors and facades, photograph The People who own them and The People who use them in towns and cities in Lancashire.

When the lockdown was announced, the 33-year-old this documented in the vicinity of his apartment in Chorley .

"I find laundromats fascinating. You get anomalies - a time-capsule. High street stores are so sterile and are designed not to offend anyone, whereas detergents are salons full of character.

"I always use The Machines and feel nostalgic about My Childhood , I have so many memories of them. Pre-coronavirus, as I remember, it is bustling with people.

"Well, it's a nervous concern of people who do not want to be in the vicinity of each other. It is a solemn Mood - it is just a hum of The Machines . "
